I would put inbound hotlinks as #1. You can't trust search engine traffic these days. I would rather have other "A" list bloggers find what I write interesting and link to me.

Vinny, when "Hundreds of thousands of sites — ranging from automated splogs to high-profile online media — use RSS feeds from good independent bloggers as part of their content" -- do you take that as a compliment? I was wondering if that could be prevented in any way?

Or finding your content on a MFA site that integrates your feed. Prevention? Not really. Whether this influence and reach can be converted to monetary value though, would sometimes be hard to determine I guess. Another topic alltogether.

Traffic doesn't mean anything if bounce rate and time on site are bad.
